Dear Friend,

We are proud to be Co-Chairing the 2026 Bushwick Starr Gala! The Bushwick Starr is an Obie award-winning theater that provides a home for artists, community and bold new work.

The Starr recognizes the need for equitable access to the arts, platforms for new voices, and arts education that reflects the lived experiences of our community. Their programming responds directly to these needs through free and low-cost performances, robust education programs, and vital arts resources for an under-resourced demographic.

The 2026 Gala is the Bushwick Starr’s largest fundraising event of the year. The evening includes a lively cocktail hour, special performances & tributes, and decadent dinner by Chef JT Vuong of Rule of Thirds in Greenpoint, Brooklyn on Monday, October 26, 2026. The event has sold out the past two years and we hope you will join us for a truly out of this world experience: glitter, glam, and cosmic delights!

To express our gratitude for your support, we invite you to an exclusive pre-sale opportunity of a discounted ticket or advance sponsorship purchase. This incredible opportunity is valid through August 31, 2026. If you’d like to be included in our public announcement, the deadline for providing public acknowledgement details is September 1.

Please join us at The 2026 Bushwick Starr Gala to celebrate the Starr being a home for radical imagination, cultural expression, and collective joy!

Sincerely,
Julia May Jonas + Michael Zegen
